2005 Formation of Trio Bernardo: an intercultural Rebirth with accent on Latin American music 

2005-present: composing and performing with Latin American Trio Bernardo  

2005 production of DVD World music, solo and Trio Bernardo. Canadian poet James Strecker wrote the poem ‘World in Trio, Part Solo’ inspired by this DVD.  This poem and three more on Schipper’s music appeared in Strecker’s poetry album ‘Chasing the Muse’; poems on creators.  

2005- present: Music inspired by art:  piano & flute music and solo

2005- present: Cooperation with concert flutist Jan Prins: CD recordings of direct creation piano & flute music inspired by: paintings of Dali, Rembrandt, Picasso, Canaletto, Van Gogh, art and architecture of Michelangelo, Australian Aboriginal culture and nature. Also piano & flute music inspired by quotes of Lao Tse, Christ and Buddha. 

2012: Direct creation solo concerts at the Steinway grand piano solo & with vocals: piano music inspired by paintings of Dali, Picasso and Michelangelo, poetry of Arthur Rimbaud and Pablo Neruda played and vocalised.  

2012 - 2017 Barend concentrates on CD production of new piano solo music inspired by art: 3 CDs Japanese wood carvings Hiroshige, 1 CD old Chinese Art, 3 CDs paintings Michael Buter, 1 CD Paul Gauguin woodprints, 1 CD Picasso paintings and drawings, 2 CDs vocals and piano on James Strecker’s poetry.
